At the TacklingPovertyNZ Rotorua workshop held on 19 August 2016, participants discussed challenges and opportunities in the local area. Six key themes emerged: youth, community, housing, financing debt, business and government initiatives. From these, 44 ‘hows’ to tackle poverty were identified.

We are seeking to further stress-test these ‘hows’ through a public survey. The survey will help us shape the content of the discussion paper, which will be given to the Chief Economist at the New Zealand Treasury. We want the discussion paper to reflect the breadth of discussion at the Rotorua workshop, so this survey is your chance to check we have included everyone’s ideas.

This survey is designed to seek feedback from TacklingPovertyNZ Rotorua one-day workshop attendees and non-attendees alike – we would appreciate anyone’s feedback. Please share this survey with your community and those you think may be interested.

The survey is open to the public for feedback until Monday, 10 October 2016. You can complete the survey here.
