Last night the Institute had the pleasure of attending an event hosted by Megan Salole and her team at ActionStation  to launch their new website www.wethepeople.kiwi.nz.

“There is a constitutional review taking place in Aotearoa New Zealand. In the past, it has been impossible for all the people of a nation to join the conversation, and have their say. But in the 21st century, we have a great advantage with the internet, which enables ease of organisation and greater participation than ever before. Your voice is important.”

Wethepeople asks visitors to submit a question – a burning question – asking what concerns or aspirations they hope the New Zealand constitution could address.

Last nights event saw a range of speakers from different age groups and backgrounds present their ‘burning question’ of the constitution. It was a great event that showcased the diversity of perspective that is so crucial to the current constitutional review process. Check out the website and ask your own question!
